For the last two decades, Rob Oliphant has been a tireless advocate for Don Valley West in Ottawa, fighting for businesses, affordable housing, and targeted income support for people in need. First elected in 2008 and re-elected since 2015, he has championed lower taxes for the middle class, an increase to CPP and OAS, and the Canada Child Benefit. As Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs since 2019, Rob has helped shape Canada’s foreign policy in an increasingly volatile world.
Whether in Toronto or Ottawa, Rob has dedicated his life to public service. As an accountant, Rob learned the importance of a strong business community. As an Ordained Minister in the United Church of Canada, Rob’s work was informed by his compassion, faith, and deep commitment to the community. As President and CEO of Asthma Canada, he advocated for better public healthcare.
Now, more than ever, we need Rob’s proven leadership to continue growing our economy, create opportunities for youth, make life more affordable, reduce the impacts of climate change, and build safer and more caring communities. We need Rob’s international experience, especially in the face of an unpredictable Trump administration.
Rob has always been our community’s champion.Let’s keep him delivering for us in Ottawa.
